The William Faulkner Journal of Japan on Internet published by the William Faulkner Society of Japan welcomes contributions
in English. We invite contributions from members of the Society and non-members
from abroad. Contributors are welcome to submit papers on any Faulkner
topic or on the special topic listed for each issue. The special topic for the 15th issue is "Faulkner and Comtemporary
Fiction." A member is limited to submitting one article per issue. Articles are accepted on the understanding that they have not been previously published and are not currently under review elsewhere. If accepted, all articles in English will be published in The William Faulkner Journal of Japan on Internet, while authors of not-native Japanese speakers are advised that their article,
when accepted, will be professionally translated into Japanese for the
Japanese, printed edition of the journal. Articles in English should be
between 4,000 and 5,000 words including endnotes and a list of works cited.
Articles should conform to the conventions outlined in the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, Sixth edition (2003).
Authors should submit one brief curriculum vitae, including mailing address,
phone/fax numbers, and e-mail address, if available, and four printed copies
of their manuscript.
Submissions should be placed in an envelope clearly
marked "Submission to The William Faulkner Journal of Japan,," and should be sent to:
the Editorial Office of The William Faulkner Journal of Japan
c/o Prof. TAKUYA Niiro
Department of Humanities, Musashi University
1-26-1 Toyotama-ue, Nerima-ku, Tokyo 176-8534 Japan
The deadline for submission of articles to the next issue is October 31
of 2012.
Manuscripts submitted will not be returned. We accept articles
throughout the year. All articles are reviewed by the Editorial Board and
authors will be notified of the Board's decision by the end of each November.
Authors will receive first proofs only and are asked to strictly limit
their proof-reading to typological errors and not significantly change
or add to what they have written.
